The room was budget but amazingly comfortable, featuring a private bathroom. It was great to have a shower, hair dryer, and terry dressing gowns available. the hotel's location was convenient, being close to the garden and Cognac itself.

Location: the hotel was close to local amenities, the stream, and a shop. We were in a comfort quadruple room with central heating, a coffee/tea maker, and multi-channel TV: D

Guided tours were educational but also made me crave a stiff drink. The seating area was nice, but the extra bed was as comfortable as a pile of rocks. Free parking was a lifesaver because getting here was like navigating a maze.
More like La Rochelle-Île de Ré NIGHTMARE.

I recently stayed at Chateau De Mesnac in Mesnac for a business trip, and I must say that my director made an excellent choice. The cottages were superb, with a convenient location near the swimming pool, ensuring easy access for a refreshing dip. The surrounding ambiance was peaceful and beautiful, making it a perfect place to unwind after a long day of work. The staff was also very friendly and accommodating, making sure all my needs were met during my stay.
Terrible wifi.

Guided distillery tours offered, extra bed in seating area , free parking, La Rochelle airport nearby, garden and terrace for pretending I'm outdoorsy.
The WiFi in the common area was a real lifesaver, I mean who needs WiFi in their room?

I must say, my stay at Chateau in Mesnac was quite an interesting experience. The hotel's database provided a wealth of information, allowing me to easily navigate through their amenities and services. The two features that stood out to me were the beautiful abandoned gardens filled with unique sculptures and the presence of delightful animals, such as 12 cats and 5 goats, which added a touch of charm to the property.
I must admit that there was one minor inconvenience during my stay. Unfortunately, the room I booked turned out to be without a private bathroom.

Spacious Room with Park View: Our room had a picturesque view of the park, with majestic hundred-year-old trees. It felt like stepping into a fairytale, surrounded by nature's beauty. The private bathroom with a corner bath and double sink added a touch of luxury to our stay.
Limited Table d'hotes Availability: It was a shame that the table d'hotes wasn't open during our visit. However, Cognac, just a short 10-minute drive away, offered plenty of dining options to explore.

the tranquil ambiance and warm hospitality at Chateau De Mesnac were even better than my previous stay in Mesnac. Christel and her English-speaking son made us feel at home in their beautiful chateau. Exploring the picturesque gardens and taking a refreshing dip in the pool were delightful. Relaxing in the garden after dinner was a lovely bonus.
Fridge setup was inconvenient.
